Visa Application Support
This is a support service for visa acquisition procedures for foreigners. We support applications for various visas, including student visas, work visas, and permanent residency.
From the 27 types of residence statuses stipulated in the Immigration Control Act, foreigners will have one type of visa that suits the content and purpose of their activities in Japan.
The procedures for obtaining, changing, and renewing a visa are complicated and difficult, and applying for one is not guaranteed to be approved.
Application for Certificate of Eligibility
This is a general visa application. *The person in question is currently overseas.
A visa (status of residence) is a qualification that allows foreigners to stay in Japan.
In order to be active in Japan, you must have this qualification, and you cannot stay indefinitely.
Application for extension of period of stay
This is a procedure for renewing your residence status for those already in Japan.
The period of stay is set on your visa, and if you wish to continue staying in Japan beyond your currently permitted period of stay, you must apply for a “period of stay extension permission” (excluding permanent residence visas).
Please note that if you exceed your period of stay by even one day, you will be considered an illegal overstayer and will be deported.
Application for permission to change status of residence
This is a procedure to change your current status of residence to a different one. (For example, changing from “Designated Activities” to “Technical/Specialist in Humanities/International Services”)
An application for permission to change status of residence is required when a foreigner who already has a visa (status of residence) changes the purpose of their stay and engages in activities that fall under a different status of residence.
Please leave your residence status application to “UMAKATSU International Administrative Scrivener’s Office”.
